Accepting applications beginning in early March 2025 for the Inaugural Class, scheduled to begin July 21, 2025
Welcome to Roseman University College of Medicine’s Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, a transformative educational experience designed for future physicians ready to embrace the rapidly changing landscape of healthcare. Through our innovative Roseman Readiness Curriculum, students gain competence in understanding social determinants of health, emerging technologies, interprofessional teamwork, and complex patient communication – all essential skills for modern medical practice. Our curriculum emphasizes hands-on patient care from day one, integrating diagnostic and therapeutic skills with foundational sciences in an active learning environment.
What sets our program apart is GENESIS, our unique household-centered care delivery system, where students work alongside faculty physicians and interprofessional teams to manage groups of households. This pioneering approach merges learning with community service, allowing students to experience firsthand how value-based metrics influence healthcare decisions. Our 4-year program emphasizes flexible, authentic, and respectful communication with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members.

MCAT scores and GPAs tell only part of the story. We recognize that students are shaped by their unique experiences, values, opportunities, and challenges. Selected applicants will be invited to complete a secondary application. The secondary application is designed to provide a holistic review of each candidate, allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of who you are beyond your academic metrics.
The secondary applications include:
Essay Questions – A series of carefully designed prompts that encourage you to reflect on your journey, motivations, and aspirations. These questions provide insight into your personal experiences, resilience, leadership, and commitment. We want to understand not just what you have accomplished and overcome but how those experiences have shaped your growth, perspective, and future goals.
Kira Video Assessment – A virtual interview component designed to evaluate key attributes essential for success. Through timed video and written responses, this assessment allows us to gauge your communication skills, professionalism, problem-solving abilities, and capacity for critical thinking. It also provides a glimpse into your personality, helping us understand how you might contribute to and thrive in our academic community.
Application Fee – Applicants must submit an application processing fee of $100 with the secondary application. Credit card payments can be made online using our admission application system. Application fee payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. An application fee waiver will be granted to applicants who were approved for the AAMC Fee Assistance Program (FAP).
The purpose of the interview with our faculty and college leadership team is to assess applicants beyond their academic achievements. Applicants can showcase who they are by delving into their experiences and motivations beyond what is included in their application. Selected applicants will be invited via email for a virtual interview with RUCOM. This interview will provide us with an opportunity to evaluate applicants’ communication skills, professionalism, and alignment with our values. Additionally, applicants will have the chance to learn more about RUCOM, the resources available to our students, and more.
