Student Support System

College of Medicine student support system

Roseman University’s College of Medicine seeks to surround our students with supportive, proactive, and collaborative resources to support each student’s academic and personal journey and unique challenges. There are six key support areas to Roseman’s Student Support System which include Academic Advising, Personal Counseling and Wellness, Financial Assistance, Student Organizations, Community-Based Learning, and Career and Professional Development.

Academic Advising empowers students to achieve academic excellence, develop professional skills, and navigate the challenges of medical education, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment to enable success.

Personal Counseling and Wellness combines mental health support and counseling through Roseman’s Medical Student Counseling and Wellness Center as well as wellness programs and resources to provide students non-academic enrichment and balance in their everyday lives.

Financial Assistance through the Office of Financial Aid enables students to concurrently reach their academic goals while proactively managing their finances through resources, counseling, and service.

Student Organizations offer students a robust network of peer influences that stimulate, support and enhance the academic journey through Roseman University College of Medicine student professional organizations, special interest organizations, and social and skill-based organizations.

Community-Based Learning through the Office of Community Health Innovation and GENESIS immerses students in the communities in which they live through innovative approaches to community relationships via curricular activities, clinical care and research. GENESIS will provide students with a curricular service-learning experience that develops interprofessional collaboration, humility, and understanding of preventative medicine and primary care.

Career and Professional Development guides students through the entire medical school years in offering professional and career guidance early on, career and specialty selection, residency matching, through to transitioning to residency training.
