Expectations & Principles of Citizenship

All faculty will be reviewed on their citizenship at the college of medicine. Citizenship concerns one’s relationship with one’s colleagues, community, the university/college, academic medicine, and academia as a profession. Citizenship requires that one have knowledge about and relationships within the community, the university, the profession of medicine, and the academy; commit to the values of the profession of medicine and the teacher/learner contract; act in accordance with those values; improve the academic endeavor at RUCOM; and work to sustain the operations and mission of this endeavor.
