Roseman University College of Nursing is offering an online RN to BSN program to help RENOWN nurses complete their baccalaureate nursing education, and to expand their clinical and theoretical skills and knowl­edge so they are better positioned to advance in the nursing profession.

The 9-month RN to BSN Program at Roseman is structured to support RENOWN’s working nurses in completing their baccalaureate nursing education while meeting their other day-to-day responsibilities. Rose­man University utilizes a block curriculum where students take only one class at a time, focus intently on that content area, and master the content before proceeding to the next block or course. The RN to BSN program consists of eight blocks each taught online by expert faculty with a myr­iad of clinical, educational and professional backgrounds. Students are assigned to groups for specified learning activities to develop leadership, communication and team skills. Students will also complete projects that enhance their previous clinical experiences.

Applying to our RN to BSN program

  • Flexible, online format, completed around your schedule
  • Cost: Tuition Assistance is being offered by Renown, with employee costs at $6,000. Other scholarships, grants and aid may be available.
  • Completion of Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Unencumbered Nevada Registered Nursing licensure
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75

Students enrolled in the RN to BSN program will be awarded 49 credits for successful completion of the NCLEX as indicated by the active RN-License.

Total number of required prerequisite credits is 49, and includes the following:

  • Physical/Biological Science 16 CREDITS (Total credit hours must include 8 anatomy and physiology credits.)
  • Social Science 6 CREDITS
  • Math/Statistics 3 CREDITS
  • English 6 CREDITS
  • Humanities 6 CREDITS
  • Electives 9 CREDITS
  • Nevada Constitution 3 CREDITS

Accelerated BSN (Hybrid-Online)

Roseman University College of Nursing is offering an accelerated hybrid-online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program to help RENOWN employees pursue a degree in nursing.

The accelerated 18-month hybrid-online BSN Program at Roseman is structured to support RENOWN’s working employees looking to start their nursing education while meeting their other day-to-day responsibilities. Rose­man University utilizes a block curriculum where students take only one class at a time, focus intently on that content area, and master the content before proceeding to the next block or course. The hybrid, online program consists of fifteen (15) blocks each taught online by expert faculty with a myr­iad of clinical, educational and professional backgrounds. Students are assigned to groups for specified learning activities to develop leadership, communication and team skills. Students will also complete projects that enhance their previous clinical experiences.

Applying to our Accelerated BSN (Hybrid-Online) program

  • Accelerated 18-month program/ 76 credits/ 15 blocks
  • 3 Cohort starts per year (February, June, October)
  • Hybrid-Online format
  • All clinical and labs completed at a RENOWN facility under the direction of a Roseman/RENOWN faculty
  • Cost: RENOWN employees enjoy tuition assistance from RENOWN. Other scholarships, grants and student loans may be available to those who qualify.
  • A minimum of 54 semester credit hours or a conferred Bache­lor’s degree in a non-nursing field.
  • A minimum 2.75 GPA or above in Math & Science prerequisites as well as cumulative (GPA is calculated based on the min. 54 semester credit hours or the last 60 credits of undergraduate coursework for those with a conferred Bachelor’s degree)
  • Receipt of a completed admissions application, application fees, and official transcripts.
  • Interview with the Admissions Committee, if granted.

MSN/FNP

Roseman University College of Nursing is offering an online Master of Science in Nursing Nurse Practitioner (MSN/FNP) program to help RENOWN nurses advance their nursing education, and to expand their clinical and theoretical skills and knowl­edge so they are better positioned in the nursing profession.

The 23-month MSN/FNP Program at Roseman is structured to support RENOWN’s working nurses looking to further their nursing education while meeting their other day-to-day responsibilities. Roseman provides an education system that promotes high levels of achievement, with a focus on mastery of content. A block curriculum allows students to study full-time while maintaining a full-time job as a nurse and incorporates evidence-based research, theory and practice with local clinical hours done at a RENOWN facility. The MSN/FNP program consists of twelve (12) blocks each taught online by expert faculty with a myr­iad of clinical, educational and professional backgrounds. Grad­uates will be prepared to function at the fullest extent of the APRN scope of practice. After completing the program, graduates will be fully equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully pass a board certifying exam, leading to licensure to practice as a family nurse practitioner.

  • All clinical hours completed at a RENOWN facility in collaboration with RENOWN Medical Staffing Department

  • Receipt of completed admissions application, application fee, and official transcripts
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a nationally accredited college or University (ACEN, CCNE or CNEA)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 Cumulative in Nursing undergraduate coursework
  • Undergraduate statistics course completion
  • Unencumbered license or eligibility for RN licensure in the state where clinical hours will be completed
  • One year of clinical experience as a RN preferred
  • Resume or current CV
  • TOEFL scores and Foreign Transcripts from WES or Josef Silny and Associates (If applicable)
  • Write a 1000 word essay that reflects your view of the role of a nurse practitioner and presents a clinical or nursing practice problem. Examine how the problem affects the client and/or nursing and propose an intervention.
  • Two letters of recommendation from academic and/or other professionals
  • Official transcripts from every accredited US college or university attended
