Biography:

Dr. Burnett joined Roseman College of Medicine in September of 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences. She brings a wealth of experience as a family physician and has been in practice since 1996. Originally from Canada, she first moved to Georgia to work in a rural setting doing traditional primary care. Over the years she worked in a variety of settings including urgent cares, skilled nursing centers and long term care facilities. She worked as a faculty member in a Family Medicine Residency program where she also took residents on medical missions to Haiti. She is passionate about palliative care and hospice and worked full time at a hospice care center caring for terminally ill patients and their families. In addition she has worked in utilization management and is acutely aware of healthcare disparities and the need for changes in the care delivery system.
