Dr. Bhakta joined Roseman University in 2008. She grew up in Nevada and was excited to move a bit closer to her hometown of Hawthorne, NV after being in Kansas City for 10 years. Dr. Bhakta precepts students on their APPE Cardiology rotation at St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena. She also serves as a preceptor for the PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency at St. Rose. Dr. Bhakta enjoys working with Cardiologists, Pharmacists, and Nurses to help ensure optimal therapy for her patients.
Dr. Bhakta served on the IRB for Roseman University of Health Sciences for many years before becoming Chair of IRB in 2018. She enjoys learning about IRB’s role in protecting human subjects who participate in research and really enjoys reading about the innovation of our research teams.
After being at Roseman for more than 12 years, Dr. Bhakta is still excited by interacting with her colleagues and being inspired by the next generation of pharmacists.
