“As a student, I always felt that my professors saw me as a future colleague, and now that I am faculty, I strive to do the same—mentoring and guiding students as they develop into professionals.”

When I first set foot on Roseman University’s campus as a pharmacy student, I had no idea that one day I would return as a faculty pharmacy faculty at conferencemember. My journey to academia wasn’t a straight path—I originally started my career as a high school teacher. But from the moment I graduated from the College of Pharmacy, I knew I wanted to come back and contribute to the education of future pharmacists. It feels like a full-circle moment to be teaching at my alma mater, shaping the next generation just as my professors once guided me.

I graduated from Roseman in 2018 and, after completing my residency, joined the faculty in 2019. One of the things I love most about working here is the collaborative culture. My colleagues are always willing to help, whether it’s organizing student events, conducting research, or working on initiatives that strengthen our team. This culture of teamwork makes Roseman a truly special place to work.

Teaching is especially rewarding because of the strong relationships between faculty and students. As a student, I always felt that my professors saw me as a future colleague, and now that I am faculty, I strive to do the same—mentoring and guiding students as they develop into professionals.

We’ve lived in Southern Nevada for over a decade, and one of our favorite pastimes is exploring locally owned restaurants and trying new foods together. It’s a fun way to experience the diversity of our community while making lasting memories.

Looking back, I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of Roseman—first as a student and now as faculty. It’s an honor to give back to the institution that shaped my career, and I’m excited to continue inspiring and supporting the next generation of pharmacists.
