Neighborhood Health Series – Emerging Infectious Diseases & the Vaccines That Prevent Them

Presented by Dr. Manas Mandal, MSc, PhD. Post-pandemic, we are more aware of public health crises, having witnessed firsthand an infectious disease that took many lives and sparked governmental, healthcare provider and vaccine manufacturer response.

Post-pandemic, we are more aware of public health crises, having witnessed firsthand an infectious disease that took many lives and sparked governmental, healthcare provider and vaccine manufacturer response. Collectively, we’ve learned a lot, and are perhaps better prepared. But what’s next on the horizon? What emerging or recurring infectious diseases might we encounter, and what can we do to protect our communities? We will discuss vaccine protection, hesitancy, and preparedness by the regulatory bodies and drug companies for the possible next health crisis.
