Hero Scholar: Cielo Angela Ebonia

Cielo Angela Ebonia of Reno, Nevada is excited to begin her journey in Roseman University's Doctor of Pharmacy program at the Henderson campus. As a Filipino immigrant, Cielo has always found comfort and support in her community, inspiring her to give back passionately.

Since 2019, Cielo has been an active member of the Filipino-American Alliance of Nevada, playing a crucial role in the Consular Outreach program. This annual event brings the Philippine Consulate General to Reno, providing services like dual citizenship and passport renewals. Cielo’s translation and facilitation skills have been vital in helping community members navigate these processes.

Cielo’s commitment to service extends beyond her cultural roots. She has volunteered at the Humane Society, the R.A.V.E. Family Center, the Reno VA Medical Center, and Immunize Nevada, reinforcing her belief in mutual aid. Her passion for helping others drives her goal to become a compassionate pharmacist, always advocating for her patients and ensuring they receive the best care.

From a young age, Cielo embraced leadership roles, guiding her siblings and excelling in high school leadership programs. Her leadership journey continued at Starbucks, where she managed conflicts and fostered a positive team environment as a supervisor. As a scribe, she thrived as a trainer, and as a mentor for NevadaFIT, she motivated and led incoming students.

Cielo’s path to Roseman University is marked by her dedication to her community, dynamic leadership abilities, and enthusiastic commitment to providing exceptional care. She is poised to make a significant impact in pharmacy, driven by her passion for helping others and belief in mutual aid. Her Hero Scholarship is supported by Carrara Nevada.
