Hero Scholar: Kaitlin Lanzi

Kaitlin Lanzi from North Ogden, Utah, is excited to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy at the South Jordan campus with the help of a Hero Scholarship supported by RBM Building Services.

Kaitlin’s commitment to community health and leadership has been evident throughout her volunteer work and professional experiences. She played a vital role in organizing and assisting with vaccine administration at several COVID-19 and flu clinics in her community. She provided essential vaccinations to long-term care and assisted living patients, many of whom faced barriers such as transportation, anxiety, and accessibility. By bringing vaccines directly to those in need, Kaitlin helped eliminate these obstacles, contributing to herd immunity and promoting a compassionate, inclusive healthcare environment.

Kaitlin’s leadership journey is marked by her ability to foster inclusivity, organization, and support within fast-paced environments. She has been recognized for her leadership skills in various roles throughout her career. As a supervisor at a local coffee shop, she honed her ability to empower team members to excel. Later as a pharmacy tech, her expertise was recognized when she was sent out of state to train employees during the Rite Aid to Walgreens conversion. Kaitlin’s promotion to senior technician at Walgreens, followed by her advancement to lead technician at Molina Medicare, highlights her dedication to improving team operations and patient care.

As Kaitlin embarks on expanding her pharmacy career, she is committed to fostering an environment that values diversity, inclusivity, and continuous improvement. She is eager to make a positive impact within the pharmacy and her community, always striving for excellence in patient care.
