Roseman University College of Pharmacy is proud to announce that Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs and Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice Dr. C. Leiana Oswald was chosen as the ASCP 2021 Outstanding Faculty of the Year!
The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists recognizes expert providers of medication management who align with their vision of improving the lives of older adults. ASCP’s mission is to promote healthy aging by empowering pharmacists with education, resources, and innovative opportunities.
Voted on by peers, the ASCP Educator of the Year Award category honors excellence in senior care pharmacy instruction and leadership. The awards that fall under this category are Outstanding Student Preceptor, Outstanding Post Graduate Educator, and Outstanding Faculty, the award that recognizes those who make outstanding contributions in teaching and mentoring students. Dr. Oswald was selected from a large segment of nominees by the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists Executive Committee as ASCP’s 2021 Outstanding Faculty of the year, and it is well deserved. Dr. Oswald was nominated by her peers, students, and Roseman alumni for this high honor.
Now a finalist for the Educator of the Year Award, Dr. Oswald will join the Outstanding Student Preceptor and Outstanding Post Graduate Educator recipients in San Diego this November at the ASCP Annual Meeting & Exhibition’s Richard Berman Leadership Awards Reception. This awards program honors and acknowledges outstanding individuals and companies from the pharmacy profession. Visit the ASCP awards page to review the other categories. Congratulations, Dr. Oswald!
