Greetings from Roseman University’s Henderson campus. We are just weeks away from celebrating the graduates of the Class of 2022 at Commencement. It is truly an exciting time on the Henderson campus and an even more exciting time in the lives of our future health professionals as they prepare for board exams and new career opportunities.
Recently, our inaugural class of Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN/FNP) students completed the program. So far, all who have sat for the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board exam have passed on their first attempt, which is outstanding for a new program. I congratulate our College of Nursing Dean Dr. Brian Oxhorn, nursing faculty and these ambitious graduates for this achievement. I also wish them the best of luck as they begin new chapters in their nursing careers.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came out to support Roseman students, residents, and faculty at our 8th Annual Research Symposium on March 30. Through poster and podium presentations, there were dozens of bench, clinical and educational research projects highlighted at the event, which was held simultaneously on the Henderson and South Jordan campuses. I invite you to read more about this year’s winners in this issue of spectRUm.
Lastly, I would like to acknowledge all our student organizations that continue to work to better the lives of residents in southern Nevada. Through ongoing health fairs, vaccination events, blood drives and fundraisers, Roseman’s student organizations provide critical services and education to people in need. I continued to be enormously proud of the work they do and look forward to new classes of students joining Roseman in the fall and embracing the missions of these organizations.
Until next month, I wish you all the best.
Dr. Eucharia Nnadi
