Henderson Report – March 2022

March 16, 2022

Greetings from Roseman University’s Henderson campus. As always, it is my pleasure to report to you the wonderful things happening on campus and in our community.

I would like to start of congratulating the 73 College of Nursing students who completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees recently and are ready to enter the nursing profession. This includes 39 graduates who celebrated their Pinning Ceremony on February 19 and 34 ABSN October 2020 cohort graduates who celebrated their Pinning Ceremony on March 7. These new nurses are now prepared to take and pass their NCLEX licensure exams and take advantage of the many nursing opportunities in Nevada and across the country. I wish them the best of luck and gratitude for trusting Roseman for their nursing education.

In the College of Pharmacy, on behalf of everyone at the Henderson campus, I would like to congratulate Christine Taing, a P3 student in the College of Pharmacy, for being awarded a 2022 APhA scholarship. She is a highly active and ambitious student who graciously works to advance the pharmacy profession and to help our southern Nevada community. Nominated by the College of Pharmacy’s Dr. Mark Decerbo, Ms. Taing is worthy of such a great honor. I invite you to learn more about Ms. Taing in this issue of Spectrum

Finally, I would like to acknowledge the many Roseman students, residents, and faculty, as well as those from other institutions in the region, who submitted abstracts for the 8th Annual Roseman University Research Symposium. This year, the event takes place from 3 to 6:30 pm on Wednesday, March 30 at the Henderson campus. Open to the public, I invite the entire Roseman family and our friends in the community to come out and learn about the many bench, translational, educational, and clinical research projects to be showcased in poster and podium presentation. The caliber of research is always impressive. You may visit https://research.roseman.edu/symposium for more information.

Best wishes,

Dr. Eucharia Nnadi
