Jeffrey McMillan, DDS, is a graduate of the inaugural Orthodontic Residency Program at Roseman University of Health Sciences. McMillan graduated in 2011 and with his 9 years in dentistry and 1 year of orthodontic experience, he continues to fulfill his family’s mission of helping the underserved. He has been featured in the August 2012 edition of Orthodontic Products in the article titled “The Road Less Traveled.” It discusses his choice to work for a corporate chain rather than owning his own business. He has aspirations to become a private practice owner, but currently he is embracing the benefits of not having to deal with the aches and pains that are associated with that. He loves working for the Adventure Dental, Vision, and Orthodontics branch in New Mexico where 70% of their income comes from Medicaid. Although his income is roughly 60% less than a private practice owner, he finds joy in helping those less fortunate. Read more about the pros and cons of corporate culture from the perspective of one of our own! Maybe you’ll choose to take “the road less traveled” and join McMillan.
