The Nevada Nurses Foundation recognized Roseman University students and faculty at its 6th Annual The Shining Stars of Nursing in Nevada Awards Gala on October 2. Dr. Marife Aczon-Armstrong, Assistant Professor and Chair of the Board of Directors for Nevada Chapter of the Asian American Pacific Islander Nurses Association (AAPINA of NV) was recognized in the Nurses on Boards Award category. Assistant Professor Eliza Michel received the Academic Progression Award. Roseman student nurses Rayna Contreras, Edward Dong, Allison Esguerra, Wha Young Kim, Vanessa Le, Anh Nguyen, Chester Operia Panitan, Theresa Pham, Kimisha Raymond, Sharleen Reyes, Andrea Romani, Alexander Romero, Daniel Telez, Megan Tran, Ervin Tuazon, Julie Xiong, and Destiny Weislogel were awarded the Rising Stars – Student Nurse Leaders Award.
Dr. Karthikeyan Subramani, Associate Professor in the College of Dental Medicine’s AEODO residency program has been awarded the Biomedical Research Award from the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation.
Dr. Glen Roberson, Program Director for the College of Dental Medicine’s AEODO residency program was recognized as Nevada Business Magazine’s 2021 Healthcare Hero in the Education category at an Awards Gala on September 9.
Dr. Deborah Hedderly, Adjunct Professor for Roseman’s MBA program, is a featured speaker at the HR Tech Virtual Symposium held October 4-8. She will join speakers from University of Cincinnati, Coca-Cola, and Terawatt for the Leadership, Coaching and Development Track on October 7.
College of Pharmacy Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice Dr. Christina Madison will serve as Keynote Speaker for the Governor’s Points of Light Awards on October 14.
