In Money Magazine’s annual Best Places to Live in America issue released yesterday, the City of South Jordan, where Roseman University’s Utah campus is located, was named No. 18 on the list. The magazine cited its healthy lifestyle, stating “Locals take health seriously: When they’re not skiing or off-road biking in nearby mountains, residents take to the trails at Jordan River Parkway for jogging, horseback riding, fishing, and more.” Due to its growing popularity among families, South Jordan has emerged as the fastest growing city in Utah.
The City of Henderson, where Roseman’s Nevada campus is located, was named No. 66 on the list. Much like South Jordan, Henderson was selected for its outdoor amenities. The magazine stated, “Henderson takes parks very seriously: the town is connected by 65 miles of trails, and its award-winning parks and recreation department is working toward a goal of having a neighborhood park within a half mile of all city residents.” It was also noted that Henderson’s affordable homes and no state income tax makes the city popular for both young families and retirees.
