Roseman College of Dental Medicine hosts UDA Luncheon

February 24, 2012

During the annual convention of the Utah Dental Association (UDA) on February 17, Roseman University’s College of Dental Medicine (CODM) in South Jordan hosted a luncheon and tour for approximately 30 dentists from around Utah.

The dentists boarded a bus from the main UDA Convention events at the Salt Palace, arriving at Roseman University’s South Jordan campus for the event. Students from Roseman’s inaugural Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) class greeted the dentists and took them on a tour to see the 125,000 square-foot CODM building, including contemporary clinical facilities designed specifically to support comprehensive patient care in a Clinical Practice Team environment.

After the tour, the attendees ate lunch while listening to a presentation from Dean Richard Buchanan and members of the faculty. The presentation focused on Roseman’s unique block curriculum model, mastery learning methodology, and innovative classroom complex, all of which contribute to an exceptional learning atmosphere for DMD students.

The response from dentists was exceptionally positive, and Roseman’s College of Dental Medicine faculty and staff look forward to more opportunities to work with the professional dental community throughout Utah.
