On September 30, Leticia Perez joined the College of Dental Medicine as a patient experience specialist.

In her role, Leticia greets patients and ensures their experience goes smoothly. Her primary responsibilities include checking patients in and out of the clinics, verifying insurance, and collecting payments.

Prior to coming to Roseman University, she worked both as a paralegal and a notary in medical settings.

When asked why she chose to work at Roseman, Leticia said, “I wanted to stay in the medical field but try something different.” This role has given her the opportunity to learn more about healthcare and medical insurance.

Leticia’s favorite part of working at Roseman is working with her incredible team. She said, “They are willing to help at all times.”

One of her biggest achievements is going back to school to complete her degree in paralegal studies while raising her family. “I always wanted to attend college, but I was working full time before having a family and didn’t have time,” Leticia explained. “My husband motivated me to chase my dreams.”

A few months ago, Leticia’s family moved to Utah. And though it is very different from Nevada, she has really enjoyed the change of pace.

“I love all the beautiful hiking spots, shopping, [and] eating out,” she remarked. “We come from a small mining town in Nevada [that] only had one Walmart. If we wanted to go to the mall we had to drive three hours to Reno.”

When she’s not working, she likes to be with her family. “I enjoy spending time with my family,” Leticia said. “I think family time is a must, especially while working full time.”
